When using the endpoints for /forums/forums, & /downloads/categories/index, they do not output the descriptions of each category. One would assume it would be accessible when retrieving category information? So, I would like to ask if this would be possible to add to the API endpoints in a future release? Dropping a widget into the footer makes said widget inherit the color layout specified for the footer. This is not always conducive to the text contained within a widget. It might be desirable if there was a way to have that widget inherit the color scheme of the other widget content boxes. Thank you for your consideration. Just started experimenting with the Side panel layout... It would be the bomb if there was a way to collapse the side panel to a depth that would only show the icons. And when the user wanted to open the side panel, they simply click on one of the icons and it would expand to normal width. Speaking of normal width, it would also be great if we could specify the default width shown. The way it sits now, in my opinion, it may be too wide. Won't really know that my opinion on the width as it stands now, is valid with out being able to experiment with it. There just seems to be considerable dead space. Thank you for your consideration. Using Safari on iPhone, iPad and MacBook, X embeds are not great. We and I would imagine other football (it's football not soccer) forums would be in a similar position. Sometimes they don't show at all, you have to scroll up and down several times for them to load. They can also get cut off and only show 80% of the embed, quick refresh loads it better. If you give embeds unlimited width, in dark mode you have a large white box that stretches across the full post when using dark mode. On the forum home page, the topics of the latest posts for each forum are listed with, below them, the avatar and name of the last person to comment. I've already asked whether it would be possible to replace this so that the name that appears is that of the topic creator. @Jim M kindly replied that this was not customizable via the software. A user asks if those who've RSVPed to an event would receive notifications of comments on the event. As I understand it, those who follow the event would, but those who've RSVPed would not. Events page has Featured Events Happening Near You Online Events Browse by Month These elements can't be rearranged or suppressed. This means that an event might show up in three places, or that an event might be pushed off the bottom of the screen. I've been catching hell from my members about this mess. If these could individually be moved or suppressed, and if other blocks like Upcoming Events (which is great with its flexibility) could be dropped in, that would fix it. Seems doable. I was able, at least, to suppress the map in Happening Near You, and that did help. I know full efforts are on squashing bugs rather than adding features, and that's as it should be...…

Huge thanks to the entire Invision team for helping us move to the Cloud. We've been using Invision since 2006 (maybe even earlier) and have always hosted everything on our own servers. With a community as large as ours—several terabytes—we were nervous about making the switch, thinking it might be a tough process. But the Invision team made it super easy, the actual transition (after data transfer) took less than a day. Maybe even just a couple hours, for the new DNS to propagate. In version 5, the recent Topics Feed block and the recent Posts Feed block are basically identical, and I don't like the new Topic Feed. In version 4, it would display JUST a list of the most recent topics. I usually set it to display the most recent 5 topics. But in version 5, it shows not just the title, but a rather large snippet of the actual post as well. This is undesirable because it creates a lot of clutter. I don't know if this feature would be of interest to anyone else. It certainly would be extremely useful for us. I run a forum which gives free consumer law advice in the UK. We have 400,000 members over the last 19 years. Many row threads/topics can go on for many pages as we help people with litigation against companies. There is a lot of uploading of PDF documents from both sides and eventually it is very difficult for these things to get lost in the middle of the discussion and we have to work our way through them to find them again if we need them. I like the new and improved editor in V5! Here's a couple of asks: 1) Tables - have the ability to center the table. 2) We hold several events that members sign up /register for. Being able to create and host that form - with basic details (name, board name, etc) and option fields that could vary with events (meal; T-shirt; arrival date; etc). Having that filled out and then submitted to admin to manually tally, or better yet, have it transferred to a master registration doc that would compile the user data to a doc. Hello, Right now, with Word Filters, you can reject on a keyword. I do this, but it tells the spammer the keyword, so if they are any good at their corrupt line of work, they avoid the word and post again. Hiding posts doesn't do the job because then I get thousands of spam messages, hidden from users, but deleting them all is still a lot of effort. What I'd like to do is ban the user immediately based on the words they post. My forum is technical, so for example, if you post "Expedia" or "QuickBooks", the odds you are a spammer is nearly 100%. If, when they type these keywords and submit the post, it would ban them completely and say something to the effect of "Based on …

I like the features in IPS 5 where you can customize things like the navigation and things like classic/compact topic pages but my main problem in IPS 5 is it looks much worse on mobile on the home page and forum topics page. I'd really like to be able to use the classic view for these pages, I don't like the last poster image being replaced with only the author image on topic lists and I don't like the home page having nothing on the right hand side, it looks much worse having last poster info where it is in IPS 5, more cluttered and less easy on the eyes. Putting Tags in the menu is a useful addition. 👍 However, it doesn’t work well for multilingual sites as tags might end up the only untranslated entries, as there is no choice of providing a translation. It just uses the tag as is. In addition, it can look awkward because we might want to use lowercase letters for the tag, but that looks out of place among the usually capitalized menu entries. Please consider either making the entry translatable in the menu editor, or simply have the menu use the “tag headline“ we can already set up and translate.
