I primarily use the PWA when visiting this site using an iPhone 16 Pro Max. There are several theme usability issues that would be obvious to anyone using the PWA for a couple of days. Please have your devs spend time on testing out the UX specifically on the iOS PWA before releasing the v5 GA. Specifically, I am unable to post using the PWA so I’m posting this in Safari. Over the various versions of IPB forums and applications, one of the most significant challenges for self-hosted admins has been the lack of clarity in error messages. In the past, having error codes listed was incredibly helpful. They allowed me to identify issues quickly and resolve them without needing to open a support ticket. This saved considerable time—what might have taken an hour to fix on my own could otherwise take days of back-and-forth with support to resolve. With the UK Online Safety Act coming into full force in Mid-March 2025 I would like (well, not like at all but feel it sadly necessary) to ask that Invision Community add the admin ability to easily review the contents of Private Message attachments. I think instead of showing the user name and the date of the last entry it would be nicer if there is a message that you don’t have access to this forum without the proper permission. Active client or something else. The current list is kinda useless. You check for permissions anyway so some kind of a configurable content unavailable view would be nice. Does anyone have a fix for the Unread/Mark Read locations? I prefer that they be available at the top and bottom of the page as they currently are in v4. The “mark content read’ is hidden under the member's name. Länk till full forum post

Is there an option to revert the styling to the old style? I find this buries a lot, add’s long scrolling, etc…. in short adds overhead to discovery for forums with, lots of forums. Example below 2 forums take the whole screen. Were any analytics done to examine if this increases or decreases page views and actions (posts, engagement time, etc.) or does it just look nicer? Just want to point this out one more time: The value InvisionCommunity brings to my business is way beyond the 70 dollars it costs me monthly. And I’d love to have direct official support for some of the issues I’m having, which I’ve been told is specific to the theme I’m using or simply “You could try X but nothing else we can do even if you get our Enterprise Plan”. Request to increase the maximum size of the attachment_size field in the database, which stores the size of uploaded files. Currently, when attempting to upload a file larger than 2GB, an error occurs due to exceeding the limit. Please increase this size to at least 5/10GB. No “pull to refresh” when using the PWA? I ended up force quitting the PWA to get by the “in maintenance mode” page. I’m using an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I had hoped that IC5 default theme would have a refresh icon somewhere on each page when using the PWA on iOS and that “pull to refresh” would be implemented. Hey folks, I was wondering if there’s anything on the roadmap (or already in the works) for a report management interface for clubs? Some of my clubs have grown pretty big, and it’d be super helpful if club leaders could handle reports for their own club directly. Maybe something where they can review and manage the reports themselves and escalate anything serious to the site admin if needed. It feels like this could make things much smoother for larger clubs. In IPS5 we have the new tags pages. I think it would be useful if we can also combine 2 tags. Explanation: Now, in IPS4, I have many tags like "Sony Experience", "Philips Experience", "Samsung Experience" - depending on the forum. With the new "central" tags, I would have to specify these many tags in the central settings. It would be easier if I only had to specify "Sony", “Philips”, "Samsung" and “Experience” separately and then, at the end, combine them into a tag page. Länk till full forum post

So the "Prepare for v5" feature said to post here if we have questions. I don't recall seeing anywhere that it was mentioned the status updates feature was going to be removed. While our community doesn't use them a lot, they're still something people want. Are there plans for something to replace it or is it just going away forever? When guests subscribe and create an invoice without entering an email address, then a huge number of PENDING invoices are created. In order to delete an invoice there is this warning created that says it is recommended to cancel then delete the invoice which requires two steps to delete. It would be nice to to have a choice to do both steps in one click. Also, there is no way to cancel/delete multiple pending guest invoices which would save a HUGE amount of time canceling/deleting these useless pending invoices with no email address or information since these guests simply spend the time to create a useless invoice that clogs the subscription invoices with hun…

Well, without any prior notice that I was aware of, when I updated to the recent Board software the POPULAR NOW Block on right column of my home page disappeared. Kaput. I contacted Support and apparently this Block was removed from the Plan I am on. A similar “Trending Now” Block is available on other Plans. Starting at $250/month. That would put me out of the Discussion Forum business. All for one simple Info Block. This is a blow to my long term community. 22 years running with a Conversion to IPB in 2016.
