I recognize that the decision to close the IPS Marketplace was made after careful consideration, and I understand the reasons you provided. However, from a customer perspective, the impact has been significant: it's now nearly impossible to find the quality add-ons we've come to rely on. Could IPS consider creating a new space — not a marketplace in the traditional sense — where developers could simply list their add-ons? The key difference would be that all transactions would be managed entirely by the developers on their own websites. This would mean IPS wouldn't be involved in the financial aspects or be responsible for the add-ons themselves (functionality, compatibility, or disputes). A clear disclaimer on the page could easily communicate this. As a member who loves to customize my site, I'm struggling to keep up with the developers who used to contribute. The add-on market has dwindled to almost nothing. I've been using your software since August 2005, almost 20 years. I've seen the evolutions, the new features, the new financial models. But for me, there's one essential feature missing: a multilingual product, with translations maintained by the Invision team. I'm French, and the French community is dead, swept away by social networks and the death of many important forums in France. The latest version available for translating your forum into French is based on version 4.5.x. As a result, more and more text is appearing in English on my forum, driving away some members. With v5, the introduction of the theme which gives a discourse vibe with the navigation being on the left. It means, if you set up blocks in a more traditional styled theme, that spacing issues could occur. I get that this could be handled with CSS, but even then I think if it could be explored, an easier way could be found to make the widgets adapt per theme. I would encourage this to be explored, as v5 does give us some great controls over the look and appearance of how pages look. Whilst CSS might be the option now, not everyone is skilled enough in this department and a good solution may be to allow spacing changes to be saved per the theme you are editing. Just a thought. Hi, Please update this page to match the design from v4. In v5, when there is a single subscription plan, it is aligned to the left of the screen, where in version 4, it was centered with a large cover image and it was clean. There are two items, in the editor that i cannot seem to delete. Normally i go to html editor, to just remove the content. Now i cannot remove it. Selecting it all, pressing delete, of backspace does not work. Normaly when refreshing, going a page back and forward again, i get a message to clear the editor, this does not aprear Ofcouse i could delete browsing history and cache, but that would be a workaround, but it should be possible in the editor itself. I like how v5 allows you to make changes from the front end, but when you click on Theme or Page Editor, it expands and reduces the page. Would it be possible for the controls to be able to hover, allow for transparency if you wanted to see how settings/widgets looked without closing the menu? Also, if the menu was able to float, it would allow you to look around more carefully, especially if you are working on your desktop's appearance. Something to consider for the future, as it does make reading and seeing parts a bit restraining in some cases. Länk till full forum post

in v4, you had the option to Approve, Delete or Hide a post that was in the approval queue. in v5 the 'Hide' option seems to be gone, is this correct? I see many reasons to Hide a post rather to delete it. Keep an history and data retention on some users, for example Länk till full forum post

Hi everyone, we are working on SEO adjustments on our forum and would appreciate your input on two points: We’ve modified our IPB setup (php) to exclude from the sitemap any topics started by our bots. Is there a plugin that can do this automatically? It would also be great to have the option to exclude topics based on the forum they belong to. Not sure how to title this but I can explain it. I recently wrote about Nazaré. People searching my site for Nazare without the é will not find Nazaré with the é. A feature in AdminCP to create an equivalent like e = é and e, would be really nice. Hi, Don't know if this was done by design but maybe i think this is a bug. When i export a theme with the download button to XML. Then i reupload it, change my theme, then a setting from the theme, in Theme Designer:Templates is not applied. Only when i go to this page, and resave it, it is applied. But not after uploading the theme. xml file state: <template hookpoint="core/front/global/globalTemplate:footer" name="Test" hookpoint_type="before" key="" version="5000081"> they key="" is missing/empty when exporting. After heavily focusing on integrating Commerce into my community, there are some things I have noticed either not being implemented or could further be improved on. I'll do my best to keep it as concise as possible. Custom Fields My first suggestion relates to the usage of custom fields. When enabled, it would be ideal if images are updated according to the selection made by the customer. For example, if you list a T-shirt with three colours (red, orange and green), clicking between each colour does not update the image/s. The only option available is to upload images of each colour to that product to be viewed which can clutter the listing. For example, a small can of dog food looks very different to a big can of dog food. Having both on the listing when a small can is selected in the custom field can be confusing for the customer and avoid confusion/complaints. The location of a product's price when there are custom fields is located at the very top of the listing. This is completely fine, but if you have a longer than normal product description like I do with most products, customers are required to scroll to the top of the page to see updated pricing when clicking through custom fields (scrolling becomes more of an issue when using a phone or tablet). I also have a comment written in the custom field advising customers to scroll up to confirm pricing. Pricing at both the top and bottom may perhaps be a solution, but I have not thought about other alternatives. Using the same example above, a small can of dog food could be $5, but if a big can of dog food is selected, the customer has to scroll up to confirm how much the price becomes. An internal name field for custom fields would be amazing (just like it is for Product Filters). I use quite a few custom fields specifically for sizes/measurements, and instead of having many custom fields named 'Size', I could quickly distinguish which products are using what custom fields at any one time without having to look through each custom field I have created. There is probably an easier solution to this and I have just not noticed it yet... I do have many custom fields, mainly for sizes of different dog products. Let's say I have two separate products with one coming in a small and large size, and the second product coming in 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 4 kg. Keep up with me on this one... If I was to create a single custom field named 'Size', add each measurement above (small, large, 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 4 kg) and select that as the custom field for the first product, it would list all five options. If I specify that 1 kg, 2.5 kg and 4 kg have no stock, this would prevent the customer from purchasing, but does not remove these radio buttons from the custom field. A fix? Well, I think the easiest way would be adding another column within the custom field under the heading Stock & Price Adjustments (when editing a product in your AdminCP → Commerce → Store → Products), where someone can enable or disable those options from being displayed using a simple checkbox. Right now I have 13 custom fields, all named 'Size'. 😅 If anyone has a solution for anything I've mentioned above, I'm all ears! It would be great to hear any feedback from others using or heavily relying on Commerce too. This is a powerful application that I've been using quite a lot in the past few weeks so it would be great to see how others are incorporating it into their own communities. P.S. I don't use third-party applications so if the above cannot be performed vanilla, unfortunately it is what it is. 😇 Länk till full forum post

There was a downtime yesterday, and on my phone, the PWA showed a Gateway time-out page. The problem is, after the downtime was over and the site was backup, the PWA continued showing that time-out page until I quit and restarted the app. While I eventually figured it out and now know to do that after a downtime, I'm worried that visitors who are on their phone may not know that the downtime is over, and may not know that they have to quit and restart the PWA in order to resume browsing my site. today i found one interresting feature on gitlab which would be cool to have 😮 when you start typing new topic title, it will bring up couple of similar topics, so author can quickly see if something similar wasnt written already 🤔 this list is being updated while typing this could be optional feature with some settings (enable / disable such feature, search titles only / search content (on gitlab it searches for content, not only titles) and topics count to show probably) Länk till full forum post
